Arbitrum – one of the most popular Layer 2 (L2) solutions for Ethereum. The project community began to discuss the possible release of tokens in the near future (end of 2022 - beginning of 2023).
The rumors about the token came just weeks after Abritrum developer OffChain Labs bought Prysm’s Ethereum client creator, Prysmatic Labs. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but OffChain Labs said that the parties are already working on some innovations.
Analyst Miles Deutscher was the first to talk about this innovation on his Twitter. He simply expressed his opinion without referring to other sources. Deutscher noted that the token could be designated ARBI or ARB. In order to take part in the distribution of future tokens, the analyst recommends Arbitrum participants to link their tokens through a cross-chain bridge. It is not clear how many bonus tokens will be given away via airdrop.
Recently it became known that Meta is adding the NFT trading function through Instagram.
