Pantera Capital CEO: Web3 Users Will Reach 1 Billion

Dan Morehead, CEO of Pantera Capital, said in his keynote speech at Token2049 in Singapore that he is very optimistic about DeFi, Web3, NFT and Metaverse projects.

He also mentioned that DeFi currently has a market capitalization of $20 billion compared to the $3 trillion in the traditional financial system, which means that the industry still has a lot of room for growth.

About 200 million people currently use blockchain-based platforms and cryptocurrencies, and that could increase to 1 billion in the next three years. Pantera is a blockchain-focused investment fund with $4.5 billion in assets under management.
