One of the largest chains of fast food restaurants Subway has tested payment in BTC currency. This was done through a fast network with minimal fees - Bitcoin Lightning Network.

Testing took place over 7 days in 3 restaurants in Berlin. For the launch of the service, Subway has prepared a discount of up to 50% for those who pay for the order in BTC.

Thus, the owner of the network, Daniel Hinze, wants to support btc and promote it in Europe, where the use of cryptocurrencies as payment is not popular.

The fast food team noted that during the promotion, Subway attracted a lot of people who paid with bitcoins willingly.

Earlier it became known about the cooperation of Ethernal Labs with Ripple. Read more about this here.
