Who are we? Why this token? Why STEM?
We are a gathering of like-minded people from a diverse range of social, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, all of whom have had their life shaped by strong, empowered women, be they mothers, sisters, daughters, lovers or mentors. We have been involved in cryptocurrency projects since 2013 and we are driven by a desire to use our expertise to create a token with a strong community that will genuinely serve a greater purpose.
In the past year, each of the team have had their life significantly impacted by wide range of events, running the gamut from loss to love, revolving around some of the strongest women we have been blessed to know. With the benefit of new perspectives and renewed appreciation, we wanted to honour their legacy through helping to advance gender equality. We chose the name Crypto Moon Women as we wanted to grab people's attention and the women who have gone to space and helped get us there are some of the greats in the field of STEM.
We chose to support women in STEM because the women who have moulded us have been some of the most badass women you could meet. We firmly believe in gender equality and while society has come a long way, we're not there yet, especially in many STEM fields. We see STEM as being one of the primary drivers for the advancement of the human race so if we can help it get one step closer to gender equality, we will have achieved our goal.
