The metaverse game recently opened general access to the public in the U.S. and Japan but faced concerns regarding unencrypted design files tied to models for Gundam Seed Freedom, an upcoming animated film.
Bandai Namco has not provided specific reasons for the suspension of downloads. The company aims to make the Gundam Metaverse Project a gathering place for Gundam fans worldwide and a platform for user-generated content, including fan-created Gunpla model kits.
