Gemini's U.K. branch is set to limit cryptocurrency transfers to Travel Rule Universal Solution Technology (TRUST)-registered Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) beginning November 17, in compliance with Travel Rule regulations. Gemini will partner with TRUST for data sharing and anti-fraud measures. Outgoing transfers will be restricted to 58 registered crypto-related companies, and incoming transfers from non-TRUST VASPs will be limited by December. This aligns with the U.K.'s regulatory efforts to establish a framework for the digital asset industry. Gemini has made adjustments, such as creating dedicated social media channels for U.K. customers and introducing risk warnings on its platform.
