The difficulty of mining bitcoin has recently decreased slightly

As a result of the latest revision, the difficulty of mining the first cryptocurrency decreased by 1%, reaching 67.31 T. The average hashrate for the last period, counting from the previous update, was 480 EH/s, while the interval between blocks is a little more than 10 minutes.

According to Glassnode, as of December 9, the smoothed value of the 7-day moving average was 483 EH/s, but at the moment it has grown to 485.9 EH/s.

According to the Hashrate Index, the hashrate price is $93.1 per PH.

It is important to note that at the end of November, Bitfarms placed an order for 35,888 Antminer T21 devices from Bitmain for bitcoin mining at a price of $2,660 per unit. Also in December, it became known that the American company Riot Platforms will acquire 66,560 miners from MicroBT with a total hashrate of 18 EH/s. In the same month, Phoenix Group announced the conclusion of a contract for $380 million, the priority of which is the purchase of hydrocooling devices in the amount of $ 136 million.
