The CEO of Solana has expressed the opinion that criticizing ideas by contrasting them with Ethereum is impractical, as it can damage the entire cryptocurrency sphere. He is convinced that different protocols can coexist without posing a threat to each other. Yakovenko also spoke positively about the "danksharding" technology, which helps better scale the blockchain and increases its throughput, important for hosting Solana data.

Yakovenko emphasized that technologies operating on the Pareto principle (20% of efforts yield 80% of the result) can have similar characteristics and compete with each other, which is a normal phenomenon. He also believes that the future can include the prosperity of both Solana and Ethereum.

Previously, Rune Christensen, co-founder and CEO of MakerDAO, suggested using Solana's code for the NewChain project, despite a long-standing collaboration with Ethereum. This proposal sparked lively discussions among Solana supporters, some of whom saw it as preparation for competitive struggle. However, Yakovenko stated that this represents a common victory for open source and that the Solana community does not intend to use MakerDAO as a tool to attack Ethereum.
