Astar Network is thrilled to announce its partnership with Dew, ahead of the release of Astar zkEVM. This collaboration aims to create a strong ecosystem for creators within the Astar zkEVM platform.
Although Polygon had struggled to gain traction in the NFT space through partnerships with major companies, it has recently experienced a significant surge in trade volumes. Sales have shown a remarkable increase from November 2022 to April 2023, with a growth rate of 5,000%.
During this period of growth, Dew emerged as the gateway for Polygon NFTs and established itself as a prominent NFT collector within the Polygon ecosystem. Dew simplifies the trading of all Polygon NFTs through a single interface, eliminating the need to switch between multiple platforms.
Dew's focus is not on large PFP collections but on offering international businesses the opportunity to leverage Web3 to enhance their user engagement. Through its collaboration with Astar Network, Dew intends to become a key bridge to NFTs on zkEVM and facilitate the entry of Japanese businesses into the Web3 space.
Kang, a member of Dew's team, expressed their ambition to expand their presence in the Japanese markets alongside Astar Network, which has already established itself in Japan, and foster additional partnerships with major companies.
Dew stands out from its competitors with its innovative and rewarding structure that incentivizes users based on their trading activities and onboarding of new traders. Additionally, Dew offers a name service that provides individual domain functionalities to loyal users.
As long as the partnership remains active, Dew will provide valuable support to Astar zkEVM in delivering its latest upgrade solutions and ensuring seamless trading practices. According to Maarten Hensken, Head of the Astar Foundation, NFTs represent a significant avenue for entering the Web3 space, especially in Japan, where a strong collector culture exists.
Astar zkEVM, known as zKatana, went live on October 23, 2023, while Dew, a leading NFT collector on Polygon, was introduced in March and developed by X2Y2.
Astar plays a crucial role in bringing projects from various industries, including entertainment and gaming, to Japan and other regions. The company aims to promote the adoption of Web3 among the masses through an ecosystem powered by Polkadot and Polygon, offering a top-tier blockchain solution in the Japanese market.
