Crypto.com introduces Pay integration for MATIC, USDC, and DAI

May 18, 2023

Crypto.com, the Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange, has recently unveiled an enhancement to its decentralized finance (DeFi) wallet service, expanding its coverage for fiat-to-crypto transactions across additional countries. Moreover, the update also incorporates support for three additional tokens.

In a blog post released on May 16th, the firm revealed the inclusion of Polygon MATIC ($0.8582), USD Coin ($1.00), and Dai ($1.00) to Crypto.com Pay. This service serves as a fiat-to-crypto on-ramp, allowing users to buy cryptocurrency using their credit or debit cards.

The latest addition of three new tokens, namely Bitcoin ($26.720), Ether ($1.796), and Crypto.com's native CRO, expands the selection of tokens available for purchase through Crypto.com Pay. Additionally, users can now purchase CRO using either Crypto.com's Cronos blockchain or the Ethereum network. The blog post further mentioned that more token support will be introduced in the near future.

Furthermore, Crypto.com has expanded the availability of Pay support to a wider range of locations. With the recent update, a total of 108 countries can now utilize the service within the company's DeFi wallet app to directly purchase cryptocurrencies.

As an early adopter of ChatGPT technology among cryptocurrency exchanges, the platform has recently introduced a virtual assistant powered by the GPT API. This virtual assistant is designed to assist customers with their inquiries and provide support, enhancing the overall user experience on the exchange.

As previously reported by Cointelegraph, Abhi Bisarya, Vice President of Crypto.com, has expressed optimism about the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in the cryptocurrency industry. However, the company plans to conduct a pilot trial of the AI assistant while taking user feedback into consideration.

Simultaneously, various businesses within the crypto and blockchain sectors are eagerly embracing AI technology. For instance, BlockGPT, a Web3 company, recently introduced a "chat-to-earn" program, enabling users of its BEP-20 token platform to earn rewards by engaging with AI models similar to ChatGPT.

Additionally, prominent cryptocurrency exchange Binance has launched its own offering called "Sensei," which utilizes ChatGPT technology. Sensei serves as a virtual educational assistant integrated into Binance's consumer learning academy.
