Decentraland, a popular trading platform in the Metaverse realm designed for content creators, players, and participants, has implemented a significant update through Squid - an innovative cross-chain liquidity mechanism operating on the Axelar blockchain. This update greatly simplifies the process of acquiring NFTs on the platform, making it more accessible and user-friendly.

With Squid, Decentraland now offers its users the ability to purchase any NFTs available on the market using the Polygon and Ethereum blockchains. This expands the platform's capabilities, making it more attractive to a wider range of users.

The key role of Squid is to facilitate the NFT purchasing process on Decentraland. Users can perform cross-network token transactions when buying NFTs, meaning that when using a cryptocurrency other than Decentraland's primary currency, MANA, Squid automatically redirects the transaction through the supported Polygon and Ethereum blockchains.

This update contributes to the growth and development of Decentraland, increasing its appeal and accessibility to the active Metaverse community. Thus, Decentraland strengthens its position as a leading platform in the world of digital assets and virtual reality, offering broader opportunities for trading and interaction within its ecosystem.
