The unanimous decision to suspend support for low-liquidity tokens was made by the community of the DeFi project - Compound. Low liquidity tokens include: 0x (ZRX), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Maker (MKR) and Yearn Finance (YFI).
The community made this offer after a scammer stole over $100 million by manipulating oracle prices at Mango Markets.
To prevent this, we have a proposal to temporarily stop supporting low-liquid tokens.
The author who wrote this proposal noted that this will lead to an incentive to move to the 3rd version of the landing protocol. There are a large number of funds that control risks.
Recently, Compound has temporarily suspended lending and collateral withdrawals for cETH.
And, in early autumn 2022, the project developers said that they had launched a lending service for institutional investors.
