Private equity firm Aurum Equity Partners has announced the launch of a unique $1 billion tokenized fund based on the XRP Ledger.

A New Approach to Investment

The fund will focus on investments in data centers across regions like the US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, and Europe. It is proclaimed as the first combined equity and debt tokenized fund globally.

Benefits of Tokenization

The fund is utilizing San Francisco-based Zoniqx's tokenization technology to convert financial instruments into tokens. This enhances operational efficiency and accelerates payments. The industry estimates suggest the real-world asset tokenization market could grow to trillions of dollars.

Tokenizing private equity presents an emerging use case for RWA, addressing issues of illiquidity and limited market access.

Ripple's Role in the Project

The fund is a significant milestone for XRP Ledger and Ripple Labs. Ripple President Monica Long highlighted the expansion initiatives for XRP Ledger through the anticipated approval of stablecoins by New York regulators, which would enhance liquidity and assist in asset tokenization.
