Alchemy Pay has reached a new milestone in its expansion in the US market by securing a Money Transmitter License in South Carolina.
Money Transmitter License in South Carolina
Alchemy Pay has received approval to operate in South Carolina, allowing it to legally offer electronic money transmission, payment processing, remittances, and currency exchange services. This achievement comes with the issuance of a Money Transmitter License (MTL) by the South Carolina Attorney General.
Expansion Strategy and New Platforms
The new license enables Alchemy Pay to continue expanding its services related to fiat-to-crypto transitions. Next month, the company plans to launch a platform for tokenizing real-world assets in collaboration with Backed and xStocks, starting with a batch of 60 tokenized stocks and ETFs.
International Regulatory Efforts
Alchemy Pay is also making regulatory progress beyond the US, holding licenses in the UK, Australia, and Switzerland. The company is developing a native stablecoin and launching Alchemy Chain, a layer-1 blockchain optimized for global payments.
The acquisition of the license in South Carolina marks an important step for Alchemy Pay, affirming its commitment to building infrastructure that bridges traditional finance with cryptocurrency.
