Apollo Global Management, in collaboration with Securitize, announced the launch of a new tokenized private credit fund, ACRED. The fund will tokenize shares of its Apollo Diversified Credit Fund.
Details of the New Fund
The Apollo Diversified Credit Securitize Fund will tokenize shares of its fund, which holds a diverse portfolio of private credit assets, including direct loans to corporations and asset-backed loans. The fund earned an annualized return of over 11% in the past year. Access is limited to qualified investors.
Tokenized Asset Market
This move represents a $30-trillion market opportunity for tokenized assets. According to Colin Butler of Polygon, further growth will be linked to the increase in portfolio allocations to private credit investments, bringing liquidity and accessibility to previously illiquid asset classes.
Trends and Prospects
The US private credit market has grown from $1 trillion in 2020 to approximately $1.5 trillion in 2025 and is expected to reach $2.8 trillion by 2028. Currently, according to RWA.xyz, a significant portion of tokenized assets is represented by private credit.
The launch of the new tokenized fund by Apollo and Securitize signifies substantial changes in the private credit market and highlights the growing interest in tokenized assets in the financial world.
