Airdrop Details
The BERA token airdrop marks a significant moment for the Berachain ecosystem, distributing 79 million tokens to participants. As of writing, BERA is priced at about $8.2 per token. Eligible recipients include testnet users, NFT holders, and community members. Special focus is on NFT projects like Bong Bears. Additionally, over 8.2 million BERA will be allocated to users involved in the testnets Artio and bArtio. Token claiming starts on February 6, 2025, with additional opportunities beginning on February 10.
BERA Tokenomics
BERA serves as the gas token for transactions and a staking token to secure the network. Its tokenomics allocate 13.1% of the total supply to community initiatives, 20% to research and development, 16.8% to initial core contributors, and 34.3% to investors. An additional 1.25 million tokens will be distributed to active social platform users. Berachain is also partnering with Binance to distribute 10 million BERA to Binance Coin holders.
