Binance has announced the release of the Alpha 2.0 update, significantly enhancing the process of purchasing Alpha tokens directly on the platform.
Alpha 2.0 Updates
The Alpha 2.0 update enables Binance users to purchase Alpha tokens directly through Binance Pay using Funding and Spot accounts. Previously, tokens were available only via the Binance Wallet, requiring additional fund transfers. The update removes these steps, simplifying access to tokens and reducing transaction costs. Additionally, a dedicated 'Alpha' tab has been added to the 'Markets' section to facilitate the locating and trading of Alpha tokens.
Community Co-Governance System
Following the Alpha 2.0 launch, Binance introduced a community co-governance system for token listing and delisting. Users vote on projects to be listed on the exchange, with Binance pre-selecting candidates. Tokens with the most votes are listed after careful vetting, while projects failing to provide updates or showing inactivity are placed in a monitoring zone, allowing the community to decide on delisting them, fostering transparency and user participation in platform governance.
Zero-Fee Promotion for Binance Wallet
Binance recently introduced a zero-fee swap promotion for Binance Wallet users, enabling them to trade without fees. However, this excludes transactions via third-party dApps. To participate, users must back up keyless addresses, highlighting Binance's commitment to security and user convenience.
The launch of Alpha 2.0 is part of Binance's ongoing efforts to provide a more secure and user-friendly trading environment, offering intuitive access to digital assets and supporting community participation in platform governance.
