Binance has announced the introduction of its new Launchpool project, Scroll (SCR), developed using a zkEVM Rollup-based scaling solution for Ethereum.
What is Scroll?
Scroll is a Layer-2 solution built on zkEVM, designed to address Ethereum's scalability issues. The protocol uses zero-knowledge proofs to bundle transactions off-chain, which are then verified on the Ethereum mainnet, reducing costs and processing time.
Key Features of Scroll
Scroll's zkEVM technology stands out in the Layer-2 landscape with:
- **Hierarchical Zero-Knowledge Proof System**: Ensures efficient verification while maintaining compatibility with Ethereum. - **Communication Channels**: Enables integration with other Layer-2 networks for enhanced interoperability. - **Layer-2 Mining**: Facilitates zero-knowledge proof mining, incentivizing user participation.
Scroll and Binance Launchpool
As part of the Binance Launchpool, users can farm SCR tokens from October 9 to October 10, 2024. A total of 55 million SCR, equivalent to 5.5% of the total supply, will be distributed among participants.
Scroll offers a promising solution for enhancing Ethereum's scalability and efficiency, marking a significant development in the blockchain technology sector.
