Major crypto exchange Binance has announced its upcoming delisting of several tokens, including Kaon (AKRO), formerly known as Akropolis, Bluzelle (BLZ), and WazirX (WRX).
Binance's Decision and Justification
Binance explained that it periodically reviews digital assets to ensure they meet high standards. When a token no longer meets these criteria, the exchange undertakes a thorough evaluation and may decide to delist, prioritizing the quality and security of its services.
Key Dates for the Community
Binance highlighted important dates for the community. Deposits and withdrawals of Akropolis, Bluzelle, and WazirX tokens will be unsupported after December 25 and 26, respectively, at 3:00 a.m. UTC. On December 23 at 10:00 a.m. UTC, Binance Margin will delist AKRO, BLZ, and WRX from Cross and Isolated Margin. Binance Buy & Sell will also terminate support for these tokens on December 19.
Conversions and Position Closures
After December 26, users will have the option to convert delisted tokens into stablecoins. During this period, all positions on these assets across various platform segments, including Binance Futures, Auto-Invest, and others, will be closed.
The delisting of Kaon, Bluzelle, and WazirX reflects Binance's ongoing adaptation to changing market conditions, prioritizing the security and quality of user services.
