In recent weeks, U.S. Bitcoin ETFs have experienced the impact of macroeconomic shifts, leading to increased interest from institutional investors.
Macroeconomic Impact on Bitcoin ETFs
U.S. Bitcoin ETFs have not been spared from market turmoil after Donald Trump's second inauguration. Since the second week of February 2025, U.S. Bitcoin ETFs have recorded conservative weekly cash inflows totaling about $5.4 billion.
Increase in Institutional Investments
According to Robbie Mitchnick, the head of digital assets at BlackRock, institutional adoption is still not reflected in the recent price action. As a result, investors at BlackRock’s IBIT have accelerated Bitcoin accumulation in anticipation of a bigger rally. Over the last two days, IBIT has seen about $260 million in net cash inflow, bringing the cumulative net inflow to about $39.5 billion. Meanwhile, U.S. Bitcoin ETF issuers have recorded a total net inflow of about $483 million since the beginning of this week, with total net assets amounting to about $91.9 billion.
BTC Price Outlook
On the daily chart, the Bitcoin price is forming a potential reversal pattern known as an inverted head and shoulders. As Coinpedia noted earlier today, Bitcoin is at a critical juncture: it could either rally towards $109k or fall towards $71k.
The explored macroeconomic changes and active institutional investor participation play a significant role in shaping the future of Bitcoin ETFs and the price movements of the cryptocurrency itself.
