Corporations are actively accumulating Bitcoin in their treasuries, underscoring the growing link between traditional assets and digital currencies.
Cardone Capital Adds Bitcoin to Investment Strategy
Grant Cardone's firm, Cardone Capital, has officially joined the ranks of corporate Bitcoin holders with a substantial treasury allocation. Over the weekend, it was revealed that the company purchased 1,000 bitcoins valued at over $101 million at current prices. Grant Cardone described the move as integrating 'the two best-in-class assets' — real estate and Bitcoin. The firm also plans to increase its holdings by an additional 3,000 BTC by the year's end.
Cardone Capital now surpasses well-known mining firms in treasury size, according to analytics platform BiTBO. Established in 2017, the firm manages over 14,000 multifamily residential units, with assets totaling over $5.1 billion.
Metaplanet Nears Tesla's Bitcoin Holdings
Japanese investment firm Metaplanet continues its aggressive accumulation strategy by announcing the purchase of an additional 1,111 BTC, bringing its total to 11,111. This narrows the gap with Tesla, which holds 11,509 BTC. The most recent acquisition cost approximately 17.26 billion yen, or $117 million, with an average purchase price just below $105,500 per coin. Despite market fluctuations, Metaplanet has reclaimed its position as the eighth-largest corporate Bitcoin holder.
The company's strategy reflects the growing interest in corporate Bitcoin treasuries, with recent announcements from Nakamoto Holdings, Parataxis Holdings, and others expanding their reserves.
Saylor’s Strategy Strengthens Its Position in Bitcoin Market
Michael Saylor's Strategy, the world's largest public Bitcoin holder, also recently added 245 BTC to its collection during a market dip, spending $26 million. Saylor continues to emphasize Bitcoin accumulation even amid volatility, despite criticism for the relatively small purchases during price declines. Currently, the firm's total holding is at 592,345 BTC, acquired at an average cost of $70,681 per coin. They aim to increase their yield target to 25% for the year, reflecting confidence in Bitcoin's long-term trajectory.
The active accumulation of Bitcoin by companies like Cardone Capital and Metaplanet demonstrates a growing integration of cryptocurrencies into corporate financial models. This also highlights a shifting perception of Bitcoin as a strategic asset.
