According to blockchain data provider Glassnode, Bitcoin's realized cap has surged to $1 trillion for the first time. Of this amount, around 25%, equivalent to $250 billion, flowed in during 2025. Realized Cap assesses each BTC based on the last price it moved on-chain, making it a potent indicator of the capital stored within the Bitcoin network.
Market Outlook
Bitcoin's price currently hovers around $119,500, just 3% below its recent all-time high. Over the past year, the price of Bitcoin has increased by 84%, demonstrating significant resilience and stability over longer timeframes.
Corporate Adoption of Cryptocurrency
Major corporations such as Strategy and Metaplanet have substantially increased their BTC holdings. Over 150 public companies now hold Bitcoin as a treasury asset, representing a 135% increase from the previous year.
Bitcoin's achievement of a new record in realized capitalization highlights growing interest from institutional investors and the corporate sector, potentially leading to further strengthening of the cryptocurrency's position in the market.
