Evgeny Shatov, partner at London-based venture capital firm Capital Lab, noted that Bitcoin's bullish trend may be ending, with a market shift towards altcoins.
Decline in Bitcoin Dominance
Shatov pointed out that Bitcoin's dominance is beginning to wane, signaling the start of an altcoin season. Currently, Bitcoin's dominance index is at 56.7%, but it is expected to decline as altcoins gain traction.
Expected Altcoin Growth
Shatov anticipates that in the first half of 2025, Bitcoin's growth could reach a price range of $115,000 to $135,000 before entering a consolidation phase, during which altcoins are likely to gain both in number and market capitalization.
Bitcoin's Future in 2025
According to analysts at Bitfinex, Bitcoin could reach $200,000 by mid-2025, building on the momentum from 2024, including the halving event and strong institutional demand for the cryptocurrency.
Overall, predictions suggest a dynamic evolution of the cryptocurrency market, where both Bitcoin and altcoins will play key roles.
