Bitget has announced the launch of a cryptocurrency card developed in partnership with Mastercard, enabling users to make purchases using cryptocurrency without additional fees.
Card Launch in the UK and EU
The Bitget Mastercard crypto card is available for users in the UK and EU and allows payments directly from crypto wallets at more than 150 million merchants worldwide that accept Mastercard.
Functionality and Benefits of the Card
A key feature of the card is its zero-fee policy—users pay no annual fees, top-up fees, or hidden exchange rates. The card can be topped up with USDC and other supported tokens, which are automatically converted to fiat at the time of purchase. Additionally, the card supports popular mobile wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay, thanks to Mastercard’s Digital First technology.
Global Expansion Plans
Following its debut in the UK and EU, Bitget plans to expand the card's availability to Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand. A US launch is currently pending due to regulatory conditions. This strategy aims to target regions with high crypto adoption and clear compliance frameworks.
The launch of the Bitget crypto card underscores the company's strategic ambitions in the crypto-financial services space while enhancing its partnership with Mastercard, strengthening its presence in the world of digital assets.
