Bitget and UNICEF launch a large-scale educational partnership focused on equipping youth with digital skills, including blockchain. The collaboration covers eight countries and aims to train 300,000 young people, primarily girls.
Global Partnership for Digital Education
On June 16, 2025, Bitget and UNICEF formally announced their cooperation within the Game Changers coalition. The goal is to provide concrete digital skills related to blockchain to 300,000 young people across eight strategic countries: Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa.
The initiative targets not only teenagers but also parents, teachers, and mentors, addressing the persistent digital divide that causes young girls in low- and middle-income countries to lose $15 billion annually in economic opportunities due to limited access to technology.
Blockchain4Her Initiative and Gamification
Bitget also brings to this partnership its flagship initiative: Blockchain4Her, with a budget of $10 million, promoting women's financial independence through mentoring and targeted educational resources. The initiative includes the development of the first UNICEF blockchain training module by Bitget Academy, combining practical workshops with game creation to engage youth over time.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasizes accessibility, stating that blockchain is one of the most powerful tools for the younger generation to create products that change society.
The Future of Education and Societal Impact
The program relies on innovative approaches, including game-based learning and flexible online and in-person modules. Key aspects include:
- 3.3 billion players worldwide as a vast pool for game-based learning. - A global goal of training 1.1 million girls by 2027. - Locally tailored modules for specific regional needs.
This partnership showcases that blockchain can serve not just concrete missions but also become a socially useful tool.
The Bitget and UNICEF collaboration opens new opportunities for education in digital technologies, equipping youth with the necessary skills for their future. Initiatives like this help bridge the digital divide and promote social inclusion.
