Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has announced its integration with the Sahyog portal in partnership with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).
Integration with Sahyog
According to an official press release dated June 23, Bitget has facilitated user data and transaction record access for Indian law enforcement through the Sahyog portal. This allows authorities to submit data requests directly through a centralized platform under relevant provisions of Indian law.
Functions and Purpose of the Portal
The Sahyog portal, launched by I4C, serves as a unified interface for law enforcement to raise and manage legal requests related to digital platforms. It allows access to transaction records, user data, and other digital evidence required for active I4C investigations.
Status of Other Exchanges on the Portal
According to the Hindustan Times, over 45 exchanges have already been integrated into the Sahyog system, including both domestic and international players such as WazirX, KuCoin, and Bybit. Officials stated efforts are ongoing to bring more major global platforms, like Binance, onto the portal.
Bitget's integration with Sahyog emphasizes the rapid evolution of the regulatory and enforcement landscape in India concerning digital assets.
