Cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb announced the listing of two new tokens on its platforms, indicating an expansion of digital asset trading.
New Additions to Bithumb
On May 8, 2023, cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb will begin trading two new tokens, Particle Network (PARTI) and Balance (EPT), on its Korean Won (KRW) market. Trading for the PARTI token, built on the BNB Smart Chain, will start at 5:00 PM KST with a base price of 313 KRW. The Balance (EPT) token, operating on the Ethereum network, will start trading at 6:00 PM KST with a base price of 10.51 KRW.
Functions of PARTI and EPT Tokens
Particle Network aims to simplify blockchain interaction through its Universal Accounts, enabling seamless interaction across multiple chains. The utility token PARTI will be used for governance and network fees. Balance, the issuer of EPT, focuses on developing large-scale infrastructure for artificial intelligence and Web3 commercialization, offering services like game publishing, SaaS tools, and identity integration systems.
Trading Rules and Risks
Bithumb has announced temporary trading restrictions during the launch of new tokens. Buying will be blocked for the first five minutes, and selling will be limited to -10% to +100% of the base price. Automated orders can only be placed after the initial transaction. The exchange also emphasizes that deposits made from unsupported networks will not be reflected and may take significant time to be returned, highlighting the importance of verifying network details prior to transacting.
The announced expansion of trading opportunities by Bithumb underscores the growing interest in new tokens and serves as a testament to the dynamic development of the cryptocurrency market.
