Bitlayer, a prominent member of the BitVM Alliance, is partnering with Xverse Wallet to integrate the BitVM Bridge into the wallet’s interface, facilitating the adoption of BitVM technology in the growing Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem.
Integration of BitVM Bridge into Xverse Wallet
The integration aims to simplify access for users interested in BitVM-based applications, which offer enhanced functionalities on the Bitcoin network. Bitlayer is committed to expanding the BitVM ecosystem, having launched BitVMNet, an open test network for developers. The testnet version of the BitVM Bridge has been updated to include new Mint and Unmint functions for testing purposes.
Multi-chain Approach of BitVM Bridge
The BitVM Bridge is not limited to the Bitcoin network alone, as it currently supports Ethereum. There are plans for expansion to include other prominent Layer-2 solutions and alternative Layer-1 blockchains such as Base, Starknet, Arbitrum, Plume, and Sonic SVM. This multi-chain approach is aimed at creating a unified and liquid network across various blockchain ecosystems.
Bitlayer's Collaboration with TNA Protocol
TNA Protocol recently became the first naming protocol on a Bitcoin Layer 2 solution through a collaboration with Bitlayer Labs. This partnership supports Bitlayer’s extensive ecosystem by mapping human-readable names to Bitcoin addresses, simplifying transactions. TNA also introduced its $BN token to complement its existing $TNA token, aiming to enhance its market position amidst significant growth in the Bitcoin Layer 2 ecosystem.
The integration of BitVM Bridge with Xverse Wallet strengthens Bitlayer’s leading position in the evolution of Bitcoin’s utility and functionality, while the partnership with TNA Protocol is simplifying user interaction and opening up new development opportunities.
