Record Inflow of Funds
On June 30, 2025, the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) closed the month with an inflow of $112.32 million. In total, the ETF acquired approximately $3.85 billion worth of Bitcoin over the course of June, marking a considerable achievement. The total asset value of IBIT has increased to $75 billion due to this influx.
Partnership with Coinbase
The interest in IBIT is also linked to BlackRock’s strong market presence and its strategic partnership with Coinbase, which serves as a secure custodian. This collaboration includes the integration of Coinbase’s Aladdin risk management software with trading, custody, and reporting services.
Increase in Interest for Bitcoin
The June acquisition, amounting to approximately 36,300 Bitcoins at the current price of around $106,000 per coin, indicates a growing demand for Bitcoin exposure through exchange-traded products. IBIT experienced a 5% increase in its assets as a result of the consistently increasing demand from traditional investors.
The significant growth in assets for BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF highlights the changing landscape of financial markets, where Bitcoin is becoming an important target for institutional investors.
