The Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) has launched a global accelerator in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and EMURGO Labs, aimed at leveraging blockchain technology for social impact.
Goals and Objectives of the Accelerator
The SDG Blockchain Accelerator is intended to support initiatives related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program offers training, technology, and mentoring support to develop and pilot blockchain solutions in economic development. With the support of experts and mentors, the accelerator plans to onboard two cohorts annually, each lasting four months.
Expanding Impact in Europe
In January 2025, BGA formally expanded its presence in Europe by participating in a roundtable in Brussels, which brought together delegates from various organizations to discuss technology and impact entrepreneurship. BGA is actively engaging in local initiatives, forming strategic partnerships, and participating in high-level dialogues to advance blockchain as a tool for sustainable development.
