BlockDAG's beta testnet involves over 110,000 wallets, each preloaded with 10,000 BDAG testnet tokens. These tokens are distributed via a smart contract with built-in vesting, similar to the future mainnet distribution.
$60,000 Reward Pool for Testnet
Participants in the testnet can earn part of a $60,000 reward pool given to the most active and valuable contributors. Rewards will be given to the top 10 wallets with the highest transaction counts, top 10 miner nodes with the most BDAG mined, and top 10 wallets with the largest BDAG balances.
Preparing for Mainnet Launch
The testnet ensures that the system is prepared for a decentralized mainnet launch in 2025. It includes infrastructure validation to meet a 2,000 TPS target at launch, with plans to scale to 15,000 TPS within two years. Developer onboarding is in full swing, exploring EVM-compatible architecture and DeFi features.
