The Buenos Aires Ministry of Education, in partnership with the ETH Kipu Foundation, announced the introduction of Ethereum and blockchain technologies into the school curriculum to prepare students for a tech-driven economy.
Ethereum Education for Students and Teachers
According to ETH Kipu, the program will start on August 27 and will introduce blockchain to high school students in their classrooms. Students will also participate in internships for practical learning. The program will cover 500 students aged 18 and above learning programming with Solidity, the language of Ethereum smart contracts.
Argentina Solidifies Position as Crypto Hub in Latin America
This program highlights collaborative efforts to establish Argentina as a crypto hub in Latin America. The country ranks fourth globally in cryptocurrency ownership and boasts a flourishing crypto ecosystem. The election of pro-crypto president Javier Millei provides the essential regulatory framework for crypto startups.
Crypto Education Initiatives
In addition to educational programs, initiatives by ETH Kipu Foundation and the Criscimiento movement contribute to the growth of Argentina's crypto ecosystem. Recently, NGO Bitcoin Argentina, alongside crypto exchange BingX, organized Web3 courses covering various crypto subjects including Bitcoin and stablecoins.
