The ETH Kipu Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Buenos Aires, is initiating new blockchain courses for high school students and educators.
ETH Kipu Foundation and Buenos Aires Ministry Initiative
Starting August 27th, high schools across Buenos Aires will begin professional internships in blockchain projects. These internships will provide students with hands-on experience in one of the fastest-growing sectors. By engaging directly with blockchain technologies and projects, students will gain valuable knowledge and skills that are increasingly in demand in today’s job market.
Blockchain Courses for Students
In addition to the internships, the initiative includes the launch of an online Solidity course for 500 students aged 18 and over. This course focuses on training them in the development of decentralized applications and is expected to play a key role in integrating blockchain technology into the local economy, fostering a new generation of developers and innovators.
Training Program for Educators
The initiative also encompasses a hybrid training program for educators. The plan involves preparing 30 teachers to effectively deliver Ethereum and blockchain-related subjects. This comprehensive training will equip educators with the knowledge and tools needed to guide students through the complexities of blockchain technology.
By preparing students and educators for the tech economy, Buenos Aires is setting a precedent for how cities can leverage emerging technologies to drive economic growth and educational advancement.
