Bybit has announced the upcoming launch of its decentralized exchange Byreal, set to release its testnet on June 30, 2025, and aiming for a mainnet launch in the third quarter of the same year.
Overview of Byreal
Bybit is launching Byreal, a hybrid platform designed to combine the best features of centralized and decentralized finance. CEO Ben Zhou emphasized that Byreal will function as an on-chain extension of Bybit’s global trading platform, offering competitive trading conditions.
Technological Features
Byreal will leverage Request for Quote (RFQ) and Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker (CLMM) technologies to enhance trade execution and liquidity depth. RFQ enables competitive pricing for users, while CLMM allows liquidity providers to focus capital within specific price ranges, improving trading efficiency.
Competition in the DEX Market
Bybit enters the DEX market amidst fierce competition. Currently, Uniswap leads with a 24% market share, followed by Curve and PancakeSwap. The total value locked in DEX stands at $20.3 billion, significantly lower than peaks of $80 billion in November 2021.
The launch of Byreal marks an important step for Bybit in expanding its decentralized trading ecosystem. With active growth and competition in the DEX market, the platform's success will rely on the implementation of new technologies and appealing trading conditions for users.
