The Bybit cryptocurrency exchange experienced a technical glitch during the recent PAWS token airdrop, resulting in some users receiving more tokens than intended.
Technical Issues with PAWS Airdrop
The exchange has announced that some users received excess PAWS tokens, while others, despite being eligible, received nothing.
Token Redistribution Process
Bybit stated that all prior token distributions performed on April 15 will be completely reversed based on an updated eligibility list provided by the project’s team. Crypto analyst Szymanski commented on the situation: 'It turns out that Bybit oversent tokens to some users while others, like me, haven't received any; currently, tokens are being recalled.'
Users from EEA Ineligible
Bybit has communicated that users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) are not eligible for the airdrop due to MiCA regulations. The exchange has encouraged these users to reach out to the PAWS community for information on other airdrop options.
The situation with the PAWS token airdrop has caused frustration among users, but Bybit is taking steps to rectify the issue and proceed with token redistribution.
