Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has announced a new API to update the list of suspicious wallets, aiming to protect the industry from fraudulent activities.

API Update for Protection

Bybit has unveiled a new API that enables the updating of a blacklist of suspicious wallet addresses, aiming to expedite efforts in recovering compromised funds. The current list is the result of intensive work by top white hats and investigators within three days of the largest crypto heist.

Industry Collaboration

Bybit has received thousands of tips from industry colleagues, demonstrating remarkable cooperation during challenging times. Internal and external teams have confirmed a list of malicious addresses available to verified partners through an automated interface, enhancing overall network security.

I am energized by the incredible camaraderie on-chain and in real life. This can be a transformative moment for our industry if we get it right. Together, we can build a stronger defense system against cyber threats.Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit.

Security Transformation

The concerted efforts have formed industry-wide alliances at a pivotal moment for crypto. Bybit has shared a list of individuals, entities, and teams contributing to the mission and plans to launch a HackBounty platform, empowering the industry to track down hackers and enhance security.

Bybit continues to advance its security measures by leveraging new technologies and strengthening partnerships across the industry to protect it against fraudulent activities.
