Announcement of Capcom Spotlight
Capcom has announced a Capcom Spotlight that will take place next Thursday at 3 PM PDT / 6 PM EST / 11 PM BST. The showcase will last for 40 minutes and will feature information on games such as Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Street Fighter 6. There will also be developer interviews during the event.
Overview of Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem was announced earlier this month during the Summer Game Fest. Scheduled for release on February 27 next year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, it is the ninth installment in the series and is being developed using RE ENGINE. Capcom plans to incorporate technology and team experience into a story with rich characters and engaging gameplay. Players will be able to switch between first and third-person perspectives, which should alleviate concerns stemming from the first-person perspective in Resident Evil 7.
Updates on Other Projects
Monster Hunter Wilds will provide updates on Title Update 2, which releases at the end of this month. Information on Street Fighter 6 is also anticipated, with new DLC characters such as Sagat and C. Viper expected to be announced, along with gameplay details.
Capcom Spotlight promises a wealth of information, including details on the releases of Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Street Fighter 6. Aiming to engage both long-time fans and new players, many updates are on the way.
