    Growth of the Cardano Ecosystem

    According to data published by the Cardano Foundation, transactions on the Cardano network increased by 1.51% in August, reaching 95.9 million. The number of wallets grew by 0.67%, totaling 4.87 million. There was also a 0.98% increase in delegated wallets, reaching 1.33 million.

    Updates on Projects and Scripts

    The number of Plutus scripts increased by 0.75%, reaching 6,709, while the number of native tokens grew by 0.85%, totaling 10.3 million. Policies saw a 6.53% increase, totaling 160,299. Among transaction types, 31% were smart contracts, 49% were simple transactions, and 20% were metadata without smart contracts.

    Achievements and New Releases

    Input Output Global (IOG) released an August development update, highlighting major achievements. As of the end of August 2024, 1,373 projects are currently building on the Cardano platform. Token policies increased by 8,375, and the number of minted native tokens reached 110,000. Plutus scripts grew by 5,995, totaling 74,729. The total number of transactions increased by 1.5 million. The ledger team continued working towards the Conway era, while the Lace team released version 1.14 with enhanced wallet functionality. The Hydra team released version 0.18.0 and continued work to support Hydra Doom.

    August 2024 statistics show a confident growth of the Cardano ecosystem, indicating successful efforts in developing projects and implementing new functionalities.
