Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, recently discussed a new idea about tokenizing influencers' time. He proposed a project utilizing Binance Smart Chain and Binance Coin.
The Idea of Time Tokenization
In a post on Binance Square, Changpeng Zhao brought up the concept of 'time tokens.' These tokens would allow influencers to charge users for their time and interactions. Although past attempts at such an idea did not succeed, Zhao believes a fresh take could work.
Platform for Influencers
Zhao proposed a platform where verified influencers could link their social media accounts, like X (formerly Twitter) or LinkedIn, to prove their identity. Influencers could set a fee, such as 1 BNB or 0.1 BNB, for users to send messages. If the influencer does not respond within five days, part of the payment is returned to the user.
Goals and Prospects
Changpeng Zhao mentioned his willingness to use such a platform and donate earned crypto to charity. He believes this would help filter out people who genuinely want to connect. Additionally, he noted that serious inquiries could lead to longer conversations, rewards for security tips, or even full refunds.
Changpeng Zhao's initiative to tokenize influencers' time could offer new ways for social media interactions using blockchain technology for transparency and compensation.
