    4. Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has announced his plans to invest in blockchain, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology after his release from custody. He shared this in his first post on the X platform.

    Changpeng Zhao, formerly known as inmate number 88087-510, spent three months in the low-security Lompoc II prison on California's central coast. In August, he was moved to a halfway house in San Pedro, California.

    Changpeng Zhao's Trials

    Zhao, one of the most recognizable figures in the crypto industry, turned Binance into one of the most successful exchanges. In November 2023, Binance paid a $4.3 billion penalty under a plea deal to settle US charges. In April, Zhao was sentenced to jail for four months for violating the Bank Secrecy Act.

    Comparison with Sam Bankman-Fried

    FTX platform founder Sam Bankman-Fried was sentenced to 25 years in prison for stealing $8 billion of customer funds. Like Zhao, Bankman-Fried was involved in a major crypto-related scandal.

    Changpeng Zhao plans to focus on investing in blockchain, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology, highlighting his commitment to positive changes in these sectors after his incarceration.
