Chromia, which developed the Layer-1 relational blockchain that debuted in early 2024, has unveiled a new development plan aimed at expanding its ecosystem.
Chromia's Updated Plan
In its updated plan released today, Chromia outlined short-term development objectives and the company’s preparations for big announcements during their speaking slot at TOKEN2049 in Singapore, taking place on September 18 and 19 at Marina Bay Sands Resort. The plan includes goals such as implementing Native Staking, Bridge Enhancements, and the launch of Filehub, a decentralized file storage service, anticipated by the end of Q3 this year.
Plans for TOKEN2049
The Filehub project will allow for larger token metadata, including pictures, animations, videos, and music, as well as providing decentralized website hosting services. Filehub will serve as a data service layer for Web3 applications in the cryptocurrency space, enhancing Chromia’s gaming ecosystem, which includes projects like Mines of Dalarnia, My Neighbor Alice, Chain of Alliance, and Cloudborn.
Ecosystem Expansion
Securing a spot at TOKEN2049 is a crucial step in Chromia’s expansion plan in the Asia-Pacific region, which started in December 2023 with the appointment of Yeou Jie Goh, a former executive at DeFiance Capital, as Head of APAC. The Chromia team is expected to present on Thursday, September 18, in the afternoon, where the entire roadmap will be revealed.
Chromia’s new plan is focused on significant ecosystem expansion, including the launch of new products and initiatives in the Web3 space, which should attract attention and strengthen the company's market position.
