On April 21, 2025, Citrea successfully deployed its Clementine Bridge on the Bitcoin testnet. This is the first bridge utilizing BitVM that expands the capabilities of Bitcoin for decentralized applications (₿apps).

Clementine Bridge incorporates unique solutions to enhance security and efficiency, including a new Bitcoin Light Client design and zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-proofs), facilitating interaction with other blockchains.
