Coinbase has updated its platform by adding three new tokens, expanding user capabilities for trading and interaction with crypto assets.
New Tokens on Coinbase
Three new tokens are now available on Coinbase: PancakeSwap (CAKE), Subsquid (SQD), and Fartcoin (FARTCOIN). CAKE is an ERC-20 token based on Ethereum. SQD runs on Arbitrum, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution, while FARTCOIN is based on the Solana blockchain as an SPL token.
Trading and Support for New Assets
On Coinbase, users can buy, sell, convert, send, receive, and hold all three new tokens. The platform has also enabled perpetual futures trading for Fartcoin on both Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Advanced, indicating rising interest in memecoins among derivatives traders.
Future Plans
In addition to listing new assets, Coinbase has updated its asset roadmap to include Sonic (S), suggesting potential future listing plans. The platform has also expanded Worldcoin (WLD) support for send/receive functionalities to include Ethereum, Optimism, and the World Chain network.
Coinbase continues to grow its ecosystem by providing access to a broader range of tokens, responding to market demands.
