Hedge fund analyst Jesse Myers shared his views on the future of Bitcoin, predicting that corporate buyers will dominate the cryptocurrency market.
Corporations Will Start Accumulating Bitcoins
Myers claims that Bitcoin holders are misreading the amount of coins corporations will buy by 2045. He predicts that Treasury companies will hold around half of all Bitcoins, far exceeding current expectations. Estimates suggest that one such company could accumulate up to $70 trillion worth of Bitcoin during that time.
Main Buyers of Bitcoins in the Coming Decades
Over the past two years, there has been an outflow of capital from fiat assets, with people increasingly turning towards alternatives like Bitcoin and Gold. According to Myers, Treasury companies are likely to be the main buyers of Bitcoin in the coming decades, as approximately $318 trillion in bonds seek more favorable investments.
Current Trends in the Crypto Market
Myers also noted that the Strategy has been purchasing Bitcoin since 2020. Meanwhile, other companies are emerging to offer investors access to Bitcoin. Recently, Twenty One Capital was formed to provide capital-efficient BTC exposure. In early May, Metaplanet announced its intention to establish a subsidiary in the US, illustrating the growing interest in Bitcoin among a broad array of investors.
Predictions about Bitcoin accumulation by corporations, based on current trends, suggest significant changes in the cryptocurrency market in the upcoming two decades.
