On March 26, COTI unveiled its mainnet, providing Privacy-on-Demand for decentralized applications and institutional users through its new Layer 2 network.
COTI Mainnet Launch
COTI has spent over two years developing its mainnet, which is now a key player within the confidential blockchain infrastructure sector. In collaboration with Soda Labs, COTI developed a Layer 2 network utilizing Garbled Circuits, a cryptographic technique that allows for private computations. This technology offers speeds up to 3,000 times faster than existing privacy solutions.
Tackling Privacy and Compliance Challenges
COTI's Layer 2 addresses a major hurdle for enterprises and governments: the lack of compliant privacy infrastructure. As industries like real-world assets and on-chain identity continue to expand, the need to protect sensitive data and meet regulatory requirements is increasingly crucial.
Growth Strategies and Ecosystem Incentives
The platform is already being adopted by key ecosystem players, including Bancor, Band Protocol, MyEtherWallet (MEW), and PriveX, with plans for further integrations. COTI is also involved in national CBDC initiatives, like the Digital Shekel pilot with the Bank of Israel. To encourage adoption, the COTI Foundation is airdropping 100 $COTI tokens to users adding the new Layer 2 network to MetaMask. The mainnet release includes a network explorer and bridge, enabling easy migration from COTI V1 to V2.
COTI's network launch marks a shift in how privacy is integrated into blockchain, transforming it from a barrier to a competitive advantage and laying the groundwork for secure, scalable Web3 infrastructure.
