Concern has risen in the cryptocurrency community following hacks on two major sites—CoinMarketCap and CoinTelegraph. Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao is urging users to exercise caution.
Hacks of CoinMarketCap and CoinTelegraph
A pair of security breaches have recently impacted crypto platforms. On June 21, the security tracker @realScamSniffer reported that CoinTelegraph's frontend had been compromised with malicious code found in its ad system.
CZ quickly responded, linking this to an earlier attack on CoinMarketCap, which is notably owned by Binance.
> "Two days ago CMC, now CT. Hackers are targeting information websites now. Be careful when authorizing WalletConnect," CZ posted.
Crypto Market Insights and CZ's Predictions
In a separate tweet, CZ addressed the market, subtly hinting at future trends. Though he did not directly mention Bitcoin, the message was clear: "Everything before a new all-time high is a dip."
While this may sound bullish, CZ added that only a limited number of strong coins are likely to reach new all-time highs. He advised looking for projects with long-term growth potential.
CZ's Reaction to Elon Musk's AI Plans
CZ also commented on Elon Musk's recent announcement about the next version of his AI chatbot, Grok. Musk indicated that Grok will attempt to rewrite all human knowledge, correcting errors and adding missing data before retraining on this new information.
CZ responded, "I look forward [to seeing] how this initiative will play out," noting that it’s a “highly debated issue.”
CZ's remarks highlight the importance of caution in the rapidly evolving crypto landscape. Users need to verify information and approach platform usage consciously.
