XRP, one of the leading cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, has started trading on Arkham Exchange, marking another step in its development.
XRP Debuts on Arkham Exchange
According to an announcement on Friday, the Ripple-affiliated token XRP is now available for both spot and futures trading on Arkham Exchange. Given the token's popularity in recent years, its addition to another trading platform is not surprising.
XRP's Previous Challenges
In November, XRP experienced a breathtaking rally, vastly outperforming other major altcoins such as Ethereum and Solana. This sharply contrasted with the situation in early 2021, when the token was delisted from all major US exchanges due to regulatory uncertainty following the SEC's lawsuit against Ripple. However, a ruling by a New York District Court, which stated that secondary XRP sales were not securities, led exchanges such as Coinbase and Bitstamp to relist the token.
Future of XRP and Changes in the SEC
XRP is now expected to benefit from the SEC's new leadership, which is widely anticipated to dramatically soften the agency's stance on cryptocurrencies. According to sources, pro-crypto libertarian Paul Atkins is set to replace Gary Gensler as the new SEC head, who had become the main adversary of XRP holders and the broader industry.
XRP continues to attract the attention of traders and investors, and recent regulatory changes may further strengthen its market position.
