According to reports, DeepSeek compares its capabilities with OpenAI's ChatGPT, offering similar functionality at a more affordable price. Initially, access to the chatbot was restricted to users with a China phone number. However, its advanced features and affordability have sparked interest from a broad audience.
Changes in Tariffs
DeepSeek announced that the discounts for its AI models would end on February 8. After that, access to the chat model will cost 2 yuan per million input tokens and 8 yuan per million output tokens. Once the reasoning model is released, the cost will increase to 4 yuan per million input tokens and 16 yuan per million output tokens.
Despite the challenges with server performance, DeepSeek continues to offer accessible AI solutions, gradually adjusting its pricing policy in response to growing market demands.
