Dizzie, the creator of the well-known first-person shooter Fortune’s Run, has announced the suspension of game development after receiving a three-year prison sentence.
Announcement of Development Halt
The announcement was made on the Steam page of the game. Dizzie stated that she is sentenced to prison for the next three years, which will inevitably halt further development.
Reasons and Consequences of the Legal Case
Dizzie shared that before becoming a developer, her life was filled with struggles and violence. She admitted to being guilty of harming people. She has been guilty of this case for about five years. 'What I did was wrong, and that's all you need to know,' she added, emphasizing that her partner, Arachne, is not involved in the case.
Future of Fortune's Run
Dizzie hopes to complete Fortune’s Run after her release. The game has received positive feedback, and Dizzie intends to continue developing the remaining content. She also expressed hope that her financial situation post-release will allow her to afford rent.
Acknowledging past mistakes, Dizzie aims to return to her passion for creating games as soon as her sentence ends.
