The year kicked off strongly with $585 million in digital asset investments during the first three days of 2025. However, for the full week, including the last two days of 2024, there were net outflows of $75 million.
Influence of Different Markets
A significant portion of the surge came from U.S. spot-based ETFs, which accounted for $44.4 billion of the inflows. Switzerland saw smaller inflows of $630 million, while Canada and Sweden experienced large outflows of $707 million and $682 million, respectively, as investors shifted to U.S. products or took profits.
Leading Cryptocurrencies
Bitcoin remained a leader, attracting $38 billion, or 29% of total assets under management. Ethereum also made a strong comeback with $4.8 billion in inflows, nearly 2.5 times more than in 2021.
